ice hook.jpg You have a hay hook . You would use one in each hand to pick up a small hay bale . These are ice hooks/ tongs .

i vote Ice Hook - looks different, and no hole in center for other side of handle. I've used bale hooks, and that's not one...

i vote Ice Hook - looks different, and no hole in center for other side of handle. I've used bale hooks, and that's not one...
lets get a pair of them and I challenge you to pick up a block of ice with them. This is a Hay hook

Looks like a hay hook to me. Pulled a lot of bales with one of those.

Completely agree. I used them a LOT in the 60's and early 70's. The wood handle is history. That is the only problem
