Think I got myself a good one !

to cold to water hunt - hooked up with my land partner to hit some farm fields
first places we hit - foot prints all over - we did not get much
last spot as we were heading out - I got a nickel vdi # hit - thought it was gonna be another small piece of can slaw
was surprised when I picked it up out of the dirt and gave a slight rub and saw anchor
its pewter - friend thinks its a Continental Rev War naval button - might be rare - at very least not very common

not turret shank - not French - pewter - not brass - thx for input though

Yeah that's a good one. French are always brass and always have a turret shank. I found a lead one of these many years ago but there is no reference for it.

Not much to think about for me. Pewter navy, in pretty darn good condition, It would be a good one in my collection.
