I know what you're going thru but only thru book learning. I started slightly later than you did. My first "detector" was a Radio Shack. It was sooooo unstable that one had to keep a finger on the tuning knob while swinging! 😏
I still have it and my 1st real detector, a Garrett Groundhog. (1976). They both still work!!
Some of my best finds are here also, on the best finds forum.
I'm still moving pretty good for my age, ( about the same as you). Although, I credit genetics and the fact that for most of my younger life, I used to run marathons. I could probably still cover the distance but my body is finally starting to crumble. Too much pounding over the years. Nowadays, most if not all my exercise is by taking my detector for 3-4 hour walks. ( if I don't take it for a walk now and then, it starts leaving piles of pulltabs all over the house! 😇
I pray for *EVERYBODY* ....*EVERY* single day! But, I'll make a special one for HIS will for you as well.
I would wish you good luck, but I simply do not believe in "luck" anymore.
BTB, My best "gun" was a real one. It was rusted thru and thru, had a six sided barrel and was a 5 shot. No clue what it was but was slightly bigger than a Derringer.
Thanks for the response!
