I finally made a stand I think fits my favorite sphere. The stand is Magnesium slag with a Hematite pendant glued to the front. The sphere is Basalt/Agate.

Found the rock in Lake Michigan near South Haven, MI. I made the sphere out of it.

That rock is AMAZING- and the sphere you made from it equally wonderful. I love looking at your Etsy pages and the things you've created from the materials you've found/sourced. Question: would you be willing to create one from a rock/mineral I find (depending on what kind of rock/mineral, I'm sure) and-- how big does a sample need to be to have enough of it to create something that size, roughly-- 2-3 inches or there-abouts?
