Only thing missing was the gift wrap! Although I was a bit let down with what was in the box, it still had something in it. I had a loud hit with the Excal in PP and the sound ramped up meaning Iron so other than the louder tone, and the fact I found next to nothing today, I had to investigate this signal. One scoop and nothing so under water I go and start to fan.... visability was less than 6" but with my face on the bottom I could see... nothing so I stuck my hand in and felt something about as big as the palm of my hand, first thought with the shape was I found a camera... but then I squeezed it and it was soft... I had no idea now. So up to the surface and there is a jewelry box (ring box) in my hand. I'm eye deep in water and started to open it and out comes water and sand so I close it and move to shallow water to look again. Opened it and felt around and came up with something hard and shiney so I closed it and put it in my pouch.... I couldn't see it that well anyway, no glasses, no sense in possibly losing it. Well it turns out after my thoughts of white gold or platinum, to be 925 BUT the diamond chips are real....
Is this a first? I know it is for me but has anyone else found jewelry in a box in the water?
HH out there everyone
Cliff

Wonder if someone got upset and threw the box in the water. Guess it's better than getting shot.

cdv1, that is an interesting post, and a very nice surprise find!

Guess I will now expand my "beach reading" to include couples who may be arguing instead of bathing:laughing7:

funny and strange...one of my many bad ideas was to stand on the shore and throw a rock...where it lands is how far out you dig...im sure many disgruntled people have chucked there wedding bands after the spouse goes a stray...sad but true...HH DAVE
