I took a look at a live veiw Vail pass this morning. Alexa has informed me I'll see a high of 31° with snow flurries today and a winter storm warning for tomorrow. That's it, "No More Hot Fun in the Summer Time. I gathered three of last ripe tomatoes I guess I'll get to enjoy and move a jalapeño and sweet pepper plant inside to the last un-uv protected window left in the house. Good bye warm days 😔

I'm wondering if I'm not so much a wintery person anymore. I kinda enjoyed it for some time until now

Well we had a brief preview of winter over the weekend but nothin major. It's kinda back to late fall now. When we get this first significant snow is when most people forget how to drive, but amazingly no problems. I try not to gripe too much about snow, cause it means money to me, but mostly cause it ain't an ice storm.

I know I am not anymore! I used to ski and do winter activities and I didn't care how hard the wind was blowing or how hard it was snowing or how cold it was! As I have aged (77) I can hardly stand temps. below 50F anymore. I guess my internal thermostat got changed and I didn't even know it. Winter for me now is just one big BRRRR!

Yep..it's arrived here as well. Leaves are turning, fast and the old Sun is hanging far to the south.

If ya don't like greys, greens or browns (and that's all) this is no place to be in winter. On the plus side, however, no more mowing the lawn (a fine mixture of moss and grass) 'til maybe May.
