This is what happens when you don't go to church on Sunday...

I'll let the pic speak for itself... It now seems obvious that the big man upstairs is mad at me and has chosen a most fitting punishment. What makes it REALLY bad is this is only the second seated coin I've ever dug, and it looks like it's in VG to F condition, too. At least I didn't nail the '61d Roosie I also dug (an obvious consolation prize if ever there was one).

Yeah, this one is gonna hurt for a while...

You know back in the 18th/early 19th century in some churches! if you fell asleep in church service they would go outside and get a dead skunk that they had tucked away outside & put it on a pole and hold it up to your face for 5 minutes.... True Story..

So!! THAT'S where the phrase "being skunked" got started!

I did the same thing to a 1946 Rosie this weekend, right across the date. I would have been crushed had I done this to the front of a seated coin!
