please can anyone throw light on this buttonish find.a bit is gone but still ok to id.Its 50p sized has pronounced outer and inner rims, with markings on the outer (trying to read them very small) is green copper alloy-bronze and has been in the sea mud around Newport Gwent since it was lost.cheers. sorry crap photos as Im new to all this...(top angler tho and unrivaled with a spade)

On a serious note, it looks like some kind of 'component part' to some kind of hardware??

Part off a caulking gun. Around 1 1/2 inches.
I don't know what 50 p is and if it's smaller 1 1/2 inches my other guess would be a simplex nail for roofing. Missing the nail and would be attracted to a magnet .
