Thanks Big C.Does look like a horsefly now that ya mention it. I was thinking it was a bee but a horsefly makes more sence if it's mabey horse tack related.

Its a mysterious item. hard to tell, probably a bee, looks like a deer fly. :dontknow:

It is a bee that came out looking like a horsefly :D

I've never seen anything with a backing like that. Looks like 2 cufflink ends. ?

Girl Scouts, Hornets' Nest Council pin. I don't know what year it is you will have to take a look. Thats the closest thing i have seen of tho's. It gose in a button hole on the neck cuff we think. Check in that direction.

Thanks Eastcoast ! I'll look around and see what I can find......so far nothing exact but I did find some others that were similar. :thumbsup:

I think it is a bee. This is a badge worn by oil field bosses working for the Exxon corporation in it's very early days. You might recall that Exxon used to be called Esso way back then.

So the supervisors would wear these and the men would refer to them as "that Esso bee" we work for... ::) :laughing7:

Or... maybe not...
