This makes a direct connection with Andrew Jackson and an indirect connection to Thomas Beale Sr in New Orleans.

Probably not.
However, all I've ever heard about Thomas Beale is there is no evidence that he stayed with Robert Morriss in 1819.

Researching Lynchburg newspapers for the Andrew Jackson dinner on 4 Nov 1815 may identify the dignitaries who attended. If it shows Captain Thomas Beale Sr of the Beale rifles/battle of new orleans was present, it would not prove the 1819 visit but it would show that a "TB" knew of and visited Lynchburg in 1815.
For me, this would move the story from impossible to possible but still far from probable.
