As I was searching in Maryland, I thought about finding a nice jasper point. I was just keeping my mind fresh with visuals of color and worked edges, etc... about 30 seconds in to that thought, I stumbled upon this guy.

I started the trip off with the quartz point. Never found one before, so this trip was well worth the effort.

I also found this tiny flake. Upon further inspection, I noticed it had serrations. Perhaps I’m wrong, but if anyone else sees it, can you tell me if it is just a flake or if it could be a micro-tool?

I spent 10.5 hours hunting yesterday, with only a half hour break for lunch. It definitely Paid off. I don’t find things quite often, so this was thrilling for me.

Thanks,

BrettCo

So are you saying you have mastered the law of attraction? :laughing7:. Anytime I find a whole point no matter how long I'm out its makes it worth it, good work!

Nice finds looks like it’s been in the water for a really long time. Good to see your time and effort paid off ..... I bet your dying to get back out there now

Nice frame point its probably stained the brown from the creek. Could of been a whole different color when it was 1st made.

Thanks all! Can’t even explain the feeling when I was searching on the beach and there it was! So lucky to be able to enjoy this hobby.

Any advice on how to keep that shine like from the water on it? Without damaging it?

Not really without damaging it for a long time shine. Short would be mineral oil but it will wear off in a week or so. Anything else will damage it or change the color of it. Dont ever put cooking oil on it.

Thanks for the advice. What would cooking oil do?

Brett? please think hard of me being a millionaire

Hahaha Jeff I’m on it!

Don't put anything on it Brett. Keep em how ya found it besides a soapy water scrub. Love that jasper man. Killer point!

Thanks! I left it just as it is. So happy to have found it. A heart-stopper for me.

Very cool point, congrats.

They certainly didn't use enough jasper in my opinion, it make beautiful relics.

It really does! Good luck for anyone going out this weekend!
