Thought this was an 1803 large cent, but now I'm not so sure!

I've had this 1803 LC for awhile and I always thought it was an 1803. But the other day I cleaned it with warm hydrogen peroxide and now I'm not so sure. Depending on the lighting, it looks to be either an 1803, 1804 or an 1805. It could even be one that had a date stamped over it. Let me know what you think!

If you really want to bring out the detail without doing any kind of damage to the coin just dust it with a little baby powder and then very gently wipe your finger across the date being careful to just dust off the surface of the date

I am 100% certain it's a 3

I'm gonna have to agree with RL I couldn't find a variation of the 5 having a flat top in photos of other coins from that year, they all rise.

Yup, gotta stick with my original guess of 1803. I checked it out in bright sunlight and the top is too straight to be a 5. Thanks for all the help, guys!

Did the same exact thing my post was on friendly metal detecting form but it's so funny that it has happened to more people

Sometimes when I look at it I can still see the 5 and even a 4. Once you see the 5 it is really hard to unsee it
