Thought this was really cool about one of my finds

This rosette I found two years ago. I was doing a google lens search , just for giggles . It was saying this was from a wealthy person, a private purchase for cavalry horse, or a Freemason . I guess I won't really know. What I thought was cool is this was featured on history channel show "Found" . I'm curious what they had to say about it . I can't find the episode. Either way there's another one out there lol that's only other one I've ever seen

It may have “belonged” to a Freemason, but I see nothing on it that denotes it was specific to Freemasonry.

Very nice piece. Good job following up on the history.👍🏼
 
I found a lion's head that looks a lot like yours. At first, I thought mine was a door knocker holder. But later on I learned it was part of a British military uniform of the Revolutionary/1812 era. Yours is beautiful. I'm wondering whether it could also be old military.

I know the lion head represents courage , resilience and something else I think
