Thoughts on this material??

Found this point in Northeast Missouri. I've never found any flint worked or in worked of this color and neither have my father or grandfather. Can anyone tell me what type if flint it is? Do you think it came from a local source?

I don't know but this looks close?. This says Carter Cave chert and is from Kentucky. not too far away from you I don't think. Someone should be around to tell you for sure. what ever it is it is nice017.webp
 
If I had found it I would call it heat treated Jasper
 
Not Carter Cave I'm pretty sure, I had a whole display of Carter Cave back in the day, it's much browner, not usually very red at all, I would agree to the Jasper Idea though.

That looks a lot like the color of the endless supply of chert we have in NW Georgia. 2 of my 4 finds look like they were made from the same thing.
