Three first in one day "Silver"

Almost gave up on this old mill. Have been hunting it off and on for about 1 year now. I though all the goodies were found by someone else. I remembered reading an article when I first started in this madness about not forgetting the land between the sidewalk and the road. Well today it paid off. These are three first for me. 1943 walking liberty half dollar, 1961 Rosie and 1953 Washington quarter. The liberty had a strange signal that made me almost not dig it. The half moon ring you see on it is from a 1940 nickel that was directly under it and a small copper fitting.

I found 7 wheaties all in the 1940s and 21 clad all dating 1960 and 1970s.

After not finding anything in all the areas that I should have I just knew this mill had been picked over. I guess they didn’t read the same article I did.

Only regret is that my 13 year old swinging partner was not able to be there.
She won’t forget to do her chores again.
