So after a long hot 4 days of being chained to my desk, we decided it was necessary to get a quick swing in!

I wish I could do justice to the sights and smells last night, the temps had dropped and the tractors were working 2 fields over and it was simply perfect, by the time we got back to the car the sun had gone down and I got to appreciate the pretty lights on the Deus coil, and was able to utilise for the first time the pin pointer light 😆… ahh sometimes it’s the little things! Xx

So to the treasure, as ever a gorgeous livery button, squished thimble, tiny buckle, possible section of spur and another odd bit, piece of plate, bit of a buckle and little shiny bit, pretty buttons, and buttons, big tack pin, tiny musket ball and possible lead seal, big lead weight, 1921 penny, and for your silver I got you a 1932 sixpence! xx

We had company while we wandered, by way of 3 brave souls buzzing overhead on these contraptions…. I’m sure the world looks pretty from up there…. But I’d rather experience it with both my feet firmly on the ground! xx

Another great hunt. And a gull primary feather perhaps backing a couple recoveries. So easy thier loft vs the noisy straining petrol buzz of the awkward humans...

Annnd as the band strikes up we readers again march voyeuristically victorious from the field.
