New to water hunting, just wondered where everybody mounts the control box, middle of the rod or more towards the cuff? I know its more of a personal preference but was just wondering the pros and cons? Thanks everybody!!..

I have a sandshark and I mount mine right behind the foam grip.

I mount mine right under the arm rest. Feels like the rod is better balanced that way. Negative is that you need to take it off the pole in order to change batteries.

I have mine hipmounted on a 2 inch wide belt. The controls are facing down with the wires up to take the stress off the connections.
