tin ceiling borders???

Found these and almost threw them away except I saw a design on one of them. Found one piece in one location and maybe 50-100 feet away found the others in one hole. (total of about 5 pieces). There is some sort of floral design stamped into them and the design is right side up in one then is upside down in the next. They alternate being upside down/right side up throughout. I think they are some border or moulding for a tin ceiling. They are 1" wide exactly.

Looks like it might be embossed brass or tin trim from an old trunk.
