Found this at the weekend, in uk, been trying to make out the writing…
We Think it could be LISBO….? Any help much appreciated xx

Hmmm any tips for getting the green off? Ive only soaked it in water so far… and for the avoidance of doubt… my finger is of a normal size 😆 xx

Hydrogen Peroxide on a QTip might loosen it up
But it looks like it might just flake off.

Tried every post-processing trick I know to enhance those letters, and came up with bupkis..

As for the nails..and I say this with much respect (you being a
lady and all), my back would love to hire your nails for about
20 min.

To my eyes the letters appear to be 'LISBUR', which would surely have to be part of a word, with some of the letters lost.

As a UK find, a more likely possibility might be that the word in full was 'SALISBURY', which opens up many possibilities as either a location or a company/brand name. There was for example a company called Salisbury (both written that way and also written as Salisbury's for branding purposes) who made all kinds of bag and luggage-related items. Is it sufficiently tiny that it could be part of a twist-catch or some other kind of fastening for a handbag or small piece of personal luggage?
