great find!!

Congrats.Sounds like you have got a spot that could be loaded with a lot of great finds.HH

That coin definitely spent a lot of time in circulation! She may be smooth, but at least she has enough detail to be identified as a classic head large cent. And lets face it, finding any classic head large cent is a treasure--they just don't turn up very often. Congrats on finding your oldest coin.

This property has some serious potential. The Union Army spared the house back during the Civil War, the homeowner was telling me. They fed the all the grain to the horses and the soldiers ate all the pork in the smokehouse. They did yea, there were over 100 horse here in the front yard. Well let just say I was all ears by then . Then comes the big question. Oh sure I don't mind.

Nice bit of History and a great find:thumbsup: Just keep the location to yourself.... antiquities act and all.... other than that I look forward to some really cool finds. Boo Yaa
