Toasted Kaolin Multipurpose Tool

What would have been pretty, waxy grey & buff Kaolin chert but toasted in a fire that was hot enough to degrade the exterior but not hot/long enough to pot lid it. Davies Co., Indiana. Small end was likely pointed (a borer) and snapped off.
