Nice finds, Jeff!

Sorry about the armrest. I know what you mean about intending to go back to the car to get something and by the time you get there you realize how tired/disgusted you are and decide to just go home. I know it's happened to me a few times..... :)

Congrats on the finds and I think Burdie is on his way...only a few more hours to drive so you should have a partner tomorrow.

Now I know you are hard core if you have an extra arm rest in your car...I'm lucky if I can dig out extra batteries when I need them.

I can Build 2 more Sovereigns.
Only things I don't have is a second Control Box or Sunray Probe Yet

With all that gas rebate money maybe you can get it fixed ;D Nice token

Nice finds, but it looks more like you blew a
valve cover gasket. Jimbob

I like diggin those V nickels. Bummer on the broken cuff.

Congrats on the V! Wish I could get out a bit more. Maybe things will slow down soon. Take care!

nice finds, i broke my armrest once too and didnt have a spare .i made one . still on the detector after several years

Thanks Everyone !

Noticed yesterday the Ferns are turning Brown & slowly Dieing
which is a good Sign. Also Planning on taking a Machete at the
Hillside this Sunday.

While Detecting the last couple days a Truck load of Fill from
somewhere came in about every 30 Minutes as they are building
a parking lot. Wish I knew where the Fill is coming From.
Some is broken Blacktop maybe from a parking lot. most is just Ground,
but am also hoping to search that before they Pack it & or Pour Stone on top.

another Month we should be able to Search where I Found the Barber Quarter.
By then the Ferns should be dead.

Also still have Hope on an old Stone Wall that has been hidden by brush
that is now peeking through. And Grape Vines that are now Thining out.

DK was still the only Poison Casualty so far. hopefully one & Done.

By spring We should be able to get in the Resevoir.
right now the bottom is like a hay field.
The sinker proves they fished in it.
& I'm confident they swam in it before the pool was built below it.

And Also have a few more Hill sides there we havn't even Touched yet.

Spent about a Half Hour at the Historical Society
yesterday Trying to Get history & Pics, but they had none.
When I brought up Why I was looking, Our conversation turned to
Detecting, & Finds, & some of the Sites We searched & Should Search.
The research Asst. I talked to used to Detect in the 70's,
& Knew me from the News Papers, Found adds, & Computer. :P

you did pretty good though to say the least! Got some old coins! :)

Until this year I felt the same way....so far from one public park I've pulled out Barber dimes and a quarter, a large cent, a 2 Cent, a Hard Times Token, a V nickel, silver rosies and washingtons, and multiple Buffalo and War Time Nickels. The one thing that still suprises me is that I have not found one Mercury dime...The only thing I can think of is for some reason the park was out of favor during that time period.

most important is the place must be old.
This park Dates to at least 1850's.

Second You gotta dig bad signals.
Counting on your machine to tell you it's a nickel
won't find them unless they are Very shallow
My sovereign puts them 20 Points below a Jefferson
on the meter & They sound like Aluminum when deep.

& Third you must move your coil over them
& Usually Direction of your swing Matters.
