- I retired 5 years ago at 54

54?? What ever happened to 65?
I work in the Medical Field, and I wont even be able to think about retiring before 65, and it sounds like they may have moved it to 70... I just cant imagine I could even do an 8 hr shift in ER at 60, let alone 65 or 70....
And people think the medical field employees have it great... Yeah..
