Today's Brink's boxed halves-error, and more!

Hi all, I picked up a box of halves from a different bank and they were brinks wrapped, geez those rolls are annoying to open, crimped real tightly. Unusual box from what I am expected to- the box was 5x5x2 square box, I am used to 5x10x1.

The box contained no silver, but did contain:
1973-s proof, 2,760,339 minted
1978-s proof, 3,127,781 minted
and
2008-s proof 1,377,424 minted.
all in excellent shape!!

Also got an error: 1990-p half dollar, I noticed a doubled rim above kennedy's hed, on the back the error is: Double die on the reverse, on the "LF DO" in "HALF DOLLAR"... can someone determine the value based off the scan below?

I think that 1990 is just machine doubling (an error that occurs during striking), not a doubled die (an error that occurs during hubbing). There aren't any listed doubled dies for 1990 that I could find. A doubled die with that much spread would almost certainly already be known. It's a pretty strong example of machine doubling, but probably not very valuable.

Doesn't the mint mark look doubled on that 1978 S?

I think it might just be a "blob" S mintmark because all the 1978 S half dollars I can find have a mintmark similar to it, though there is always the possibility for it being doubled, but I think it might just be the way the "S" mintmark looked in 1978.

Yes, it is a "blobbed" s mint mark, not doubled, but good eye, gave me a chance to get my 10x loupe out and examine the real nice coin!

Yes, it is a "blobbed" s mint mark, not doubled, but good eye, gave me a chance to get my 10x loupe out and examine the real nice coin!

I found one just last week, so I was looking in the redbook about that year, and apparently, most of the mint marks are blobbed, So they call it a "clear S" if it isnt blobbed, and that is the one that is worth more.... Nice find.
