Todays digs. Anyone have an idea on the medal?

[wvdirtdigger]

Went diggin today and found a few nice targets. Got a 1887 Indian, a token good for 5 cents (EWD) on the front, a 1911 wheat and this dandy medal. I believe it's from the 69th "B" Batallion. If anyone has an idea as to the history of this piece I would like to hear about it. Thanks and I hope you enjoy the pics!

Long shot here but maybe trench art? Or custom made? I've looked a lot and can't find anything.
