Today's finds 4/23/16 - Big silver and mystery item

Hit up some old rural homesites today. The mystery item is bronze/brass and looks like part of a ring, but I suspect it is something else. It looks familiar-ish, but I can't place it. Came from a pre-1860 site. I was hoping for some older coins than these today, but I can't complain!

A very productive hunt there.A nice silver half dollar, and your 2 1/2 cent good for is of a type that is not found too often.

Looks like you found some productive sites. Congrats on pulling the fist full of keepers. :occasion14:
