Todays finds

These were found while looking for arrowheads. I know what the one is. It's a large cent 1842. Pretty worn. The other I don't know. It's embossed with dg on it and seems to be some kind of cap. Anyone with an idea?

Nice find on the large cent! That's still on my want list. I don't know about the hinged cover. Maybe makeup? Compass? Snuff box?

It has the resemblance of a necklace that one would put a picture or other in.

Usually a locket would be made of gold or silver. This has more of an industrial look to it than jewelry.
