hi everyone! my dad has been saving change for a couple years now, and today we went through it all. he already saves the old stuff like the wheats, pre 1960, and silver, but he don't know to keep certain dates. first we went through the nickles, dimes, and quarters. i managed to pull a 1969 dime, and a dime that was heavily struck. it was deeply struck into the metal. i accidently rolled those up though. i searched the quarters and came up with a 1968D, 1969, 1969D, and 2 1970 quarters. when we got done with the quarters, we went through the cents he had been saving. i picked out a few dates i needed. then he forgot he had been saving copper cents in his closet and just wanted to spend them. out of that i found- 1942S cent, 4 1959, 14 1959D, 1 1960, 17 1960D, 2 1961, 3 1962, 5 1963, 17 1965, 2 1968S, 6 1969, 2 1969S, 1970S, and a 1980 cent that is purple toned. oh, when he was rummaging in the closet for the copper cents he found a 1948 quarter on the ground and gave it to me. hard telling how long thats been there! ;D in total we rolled $159.50. he's taking it to the bank monday. we had a good time talking about coins! 8)

Those late 60s quarters are worth something?

Neat 1948 version though. Looks like someone painted the penny with fingernail polish.
:)

i keep the bicentinal quarters, 1968D, 1969 P and D, 1970, and 1971 just beacause i don't see them often.
