I made a gold monster out of my new son-in-law. He wanted to get back out today so we went to the same spot we went yesterday. Made one dive. He has a blast and found two cents.

A wader was there that lurks here. I want to thank him for throwing his stupid round pull tabs back. I pick one off the surface and get a mid tone right after. Found a nice 14k 5 gram gold ring. That is my 36th gold ring for the year and my 38th gold for the year. No complaints here.

One silver ring and the gold, Three quarters, 4 dimes, a nickel and 11 pennies were my coin finds. The live 30 cal is from 1917.

Hopefully I will get over 5 grand in gold before the season ends.

I'm not really sold on the idea of having a line to the surface, takes only one outboard motor, right?

In 41 years of being into diving... I have yet to hear the tale.
Not that it cannot happen OR that it hasn't happened... just never have heard of it happening.

Now... that being said...
I have almost been hit by a boat... or close contact with vessels more times than I can count...
BUT...
This has been with tanks AND line.
This has become less frequent as the years have gone on believe it or not.

Might be due to the fact that when I was younger...I rarely used a flag... due to lax laws concerning it... AND people being uneducated in boating safety.

Sweet! Gold and silver is always nice! Congrats!

Great gold ring collection you have!

Over four grand?! Heck, that's a trip to England!

LOL, I am saving it for a rainy day now. I have no need to sell it. I have 6 daughters that think they need help sometimes. I want to save a lot of gold just to keep in reserve,

Thanks all for making this thread work for others. Remember though, everyone has to evaluate their location and research any water they are near. No use getting certified and buying equipment if there is nothing to be found. That is not a problem for me

Six daughters?! Lol, you better keep stockpiling that gold.

ONLY PROB I HAD IN PAST - IDIOTS TRYING TO SWIM OUT AND CLIMB ON MY UNITS
SPECIALLY MINORITIES THAT DONT KNOW WHAT THE DIVE SYMBOL FLAG MEANS
I HAD TO SWIM IN/UP AND SCREAM AT MORE THAN A FEW
IF THEY HAD DONE THAT WITH GAS ONE ID PROBABLY NOT BE HERE TO TALK ABOUT IT
I HAVE MY GAL WACTH WHE I USE GAS UNIT - CAUSE IT GETS FLIPPED - IM IN TROUBLE
I CARRY A SPARE AIR TANK - BUT I STILL GOT TO GET MY HOSE HARNESS OFF AND GET TO SHALLOWER WATER
AFTER DROPPING WEIGHT
