I don't think so; probably the angle I had it taking the picture.

Not very deep at all. The core is big enough to be a Chopping tool. Was it found in the same level?

It was; I hit it with the shovel pretty hard right in the middle.

It’s amazing how close to the surface you are finding them. I’ve seen some dig here and have to go 4 feet deep.

I'm not sure about Georgia, but Florida was some deep digging.
