Todays take, some more western NC gold.

Today I had a great day finding Au in NC. It was a beautiful day out and not too hot.

Here's the concentrates from today's work.

Here's some of the gold in the vial from my first pan today next to the cons that I hadnt finished panning when I took the pic.

Here's my 1 oz plastic vial sitting next to the cons after I panned them down some more.

Here's a shot of most of the Au from today next to my 1 oz vial, got one nice sized picker and some smaller ones. I still have some cons to go through that have smaller flakes but they are just tiny stuff.

And here's the gold from today in my plastic vial though its kinda hard to see.

And here's the western NC gold from the last 4-5 weeks from top to bottom.

So all in all a good day for me. I am pretty happy and I still got this whole weekend to get more =).

That was what I got from working the Trommel at Thermal City. I then panned out the cons from that.

Just curious, what is something like that worth? That might not be why you do it, I understand that. I am just curious.

I am not sure how much gold I have found this year so I cant reliably give you an exact number.

But my vial holds an ounce of gold and its at least 1/12th full, if not 1/10th full. So if gold is 1150 an ounce and if it is indeed 1/12th of an ounce I have so far, then that would be about 95 dollars I believe.

And no I don't do this for the money, I am just hooked on the hobby.

Here in SC where I am at, gold is not exactly plentiful either, but luckily I live close enough to NC that its not too bad of a ride (an hour or so to decent spots).
