I went out before the rains hit and saved a few pieces.
Rein guide 1800s piece
Silver/nickel religious pendant (apparently, these have no silver content)
Old YAL lead something.
Can anyone ID this piece? It appears old. The lead has turned white.
YAL on front C&E C&E on the back.

I suspect the "TAL" is an insignia, and it's from a larger piece. This might be pottery, and CE is a makers mark.

And the cross came off a "Holy Spirit Medal" if you look it up, they have upside down doves on them. It is likely early 20th century. I'd suspect 1916-1920, when molds were being used for mass manufacture for nun's and to sell to the public.

The lead item looks like a bale seal. Goldie, the cross is die struck, not cast in a mold, likely newer than the 20s. They have been mass producing medals and charms by die striking since the 1700s, much faster, better detail than casting.

More research has me thinking (more hoping) that this is actually a box car seal from C&E RR (Cincinnati Eastern RR). If so, could YAL be a destination or a manufacturer of the contents within the box car?
Any RR relic experts here to confirm?

Thanks Tommy
Mystery now is to find out what YAL means. The railway sold in 1889. Sometime the items thrown into the pouch as trash end up being really awesome after clean up.
