After a week of sunshine, today was a great day to be out hunting for treasure, still chilly but much nicer digging.

Lovely Elizabeth 1st hammered, a 1861 Victoria, and 5 others haven’t I’d yet. Couple of pot legs, spindle whorls, a chunky disc with pattern on one side (?) buckle, watch winder, strap end (?) bits of crotal bells and a big lump with a hole in! Musket ball and pot mends (?) buttons and a Jetton and half a crusty coin!

Another awesome day, so lucky to be allowed to wander around these fields! Xx

Our team sometimes discuss this, & there are farms that link up to other farms & we have the privilege of walking many, many, many miles with no concerns.

Anyways, I think the 'strap-end' is actually a late medieval book clasp, went on a strap around the leather book.

And you mentioned on the RCT that you, yourself, found all the coins and not himself. Outstanding! That’s a great day for the blossom! Congrats on all the recoveries to you both.
Um, er, blossom, that’s not Simbelmynë in the last picture is it? Don’t dig there.

Wow.
No pile of bottlecaps and pull tabs and bits of foil to show off.
Dearth of modern coins.

Hang in there , there has to be a modern littered site somewhere...

Congrats blossom.
Incredible recoveries on a historic site.
Good luck to himself. Next time for sure he'll score a coin! (Or the time after. Or the time after that.)

If I were "himself" I think I'd just follow you around and hope to glean whatever area you were in! Nice recoveries!

You're meaning the one on the top?
Do you have any idea what the one is on the bottom right?

Blossom you really had a great day of digging. You must be tickled pink getting silvers and relics.
Is that one button silver?
Congrats 👏

Yes.
Bottom left looks like a broken Medieval Casket Key & the bottom right is a small section of a large 18th C Shoe Buckle.

You had a GREAT DAY !!! :) Amazing finds FANTASTIC PICTURES !!! Thanks for sharing with us !!

so lucky to be allowed to wander around these fields! Xx

Indeed. And all those wonderful finds would still be lost forever with nobody to enjoy them if you weren't able to search for them. I look forward to seeing lots more. Now get back out there and dig dig dig!
