I found a bent up spoon on time that gave a good signal I didn't know what it was made of. It was real easy to bend but it wasn't silver so I guess it must have been copper. I didn't realize that they had made copper spoons it was found on a friend of mines land where a house was in the 1800s. That was the only significant find we ever made there.
You don't find any Spanish coins around there anywhere? Nachitoches is the oldest known settlement in Louisiana and it was settled by the Spanish as far as all the research I have done. Some time in the 1700's I believe.
I have found two Spanish coins around Robeline. One was a 1823 1/2 real the other coin was in poor shape and I couldn't make out the date.
Natchitoches was settled by the French and Robeline was settled by the spanish.
