Posted this on todays finds and didnt get much response. Found it at a site what we've found numerous 18th and 19th century relics. Pics are before and after electrolysis. Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

I have better pics on 12/14 post on Todays finds and not at computer to post now. This doesn't have an eye and seems to have been one piece, handle and head(?). Thanks for your input!

With a solid handle, my swag is it isn't a tomahawk, but perhaps for ice or a firemen axe.

Darby very cool. I say tool. Have not seen a spike tomahawk with a solid handle. Good job on the electrolysis.

I agree with a metal handle, its not a trade axe.
Seems to small for fire axe.
I would guess Bosnmate is correct with ice axe.
Here is a small one , the blade is a little different but has the metal handle...
