Tone break adjustment questions?

I ran the fast program on the XPD2 last night in a heavy iron infested area. I feel like the pitch tone activates with very low VDI numbers. Is there a way to change that?

What number does pitch sound on? If I get the screaming signal with a low VDI does that mean there's a high conductor being masked by iron?

I dug a civil war era button, chain to a pocket watch I believe, and a rosette from a horse. Some big iron to.

Pitch does not take into consideration the conductivity of the target. Or in other words it will hit on a target with a VDI of 1 up to 99. Most of the time a screaming signal with a low VDI will either be deep large iron or shallow iron, both of which may be masking a good target, if you're on an old site with little to no modern trash, and if you have the time and energy, it's best to get that iron out of the way.

You can eliminate some of the lower VDI / iron targets from sounding off with discrimination but I wouldn't raise it higher than 6.0

Page 15 of the manual explains pitch in more detail....you have to pay attention to the VDI when using pitch
