Toned 1972 D Kennedy Half Dollar

My daughter and I were going through a box of half dollars and she pulled out this very toned 1972 D Kennedy Half Dollar. The colors are blue, rose, purple and orange. Do you think this coin is naturally toned or artifically toned? I saw that a toned 1973 D Kennedy sold for $288 and a toned 1976S Kennedy sold for $380 at a coin auction house. Do you think this coin has any value?

Looks like it went through my washing machine. Not 'natural' toning, but still neat!

I used to draw, sign, mark, and paint these coins, I don't think they're worth anything, if they are, I'm out a few thousand bucks

Very pretty, no doubt. Just for kicks you may want to throw a couple in the oven at 250 for an hour or so and see what comes out. 40 & 90 percenters work even better. Then put one on ebay for $250 and see what happens... Who knows, might be able to quit your day job!
