Too much garlic at lunch today

Went out for a quick lunch hunt at an old farm site I have not hit in a few months. I knew there was a chance it would not be overgrown, but this was a first.
The productive 80'x20' area (former yard adjacent to the homesite) is now overgrown with a huge field of garlic!!
Only managed a handful of relics as the stalks are really stiff.
The little badge with mother of pearl is interesting, but no stamping or copy, so maybe purely ornamental vs an award.

Any advice on when to return to harvest this lost crop? I pulled a few and the bulbs seem pretty small.

Good luck out there and yes the smell became overwhelming as I swung through this field...

That mother of pearl piece, might be a watch fob. It has the traditional bail attachment of a fob, but seems smallish for a fob.

Lack of water is not an issue in SW PA this summer! Vegetation is going wild.

Drizzle some olive oil and salt over those garlic scapes, then throw 'em on the grill. Then go buy a nice steak. Nothing quite like that combo!

After reading the title I was like No Way! No such thing as too much garlic!

I put garlic on everything! Minced garlic with some Olive oil is a great base for every meal.

Garlic has so many health benefits and medicinal uses! It is a natural antibiotic, anti-fungal, anti-parasitic and is good for so many other things that are too numerous to list. It's very good for your blood too in addition to warding off the vampires...
