It’s amazing what some fire and a bit of rain can unearth! Obsidian tool kit found near a house I used to live in that burned down last fall! It’s an obsidian hammerstone and 2 obsidian cores...I think they were used to smack blades off of! That’s a great find!!! Its not to often multiple finds can be tied together.

Dandy cores,nicely made. Was it all found together?Is material obsidian and basalt or something else?Sad story about your house.
 

A found within a close proximity of each other...everything is obsidian. One type is banded...possibly traded in.
 

We had all moved out of the area and frankly that place needed burning down...still a wicked fire. Thanks for the thoughts!
 

I can see that they are both obs from that last pic. Some sharp flakes came off of those.
 

That is a super find, you don't find that many cores that nice and they were knocking off some fine blades.:notworthy:

They are nice I agree. I have never found a blade core but many blades.
