Toyokoki Japanese Silver & American Silver

Went out to the new honey hole yesterday with car91rs and it didn't take lone before I had my first signal, but this time we hit a different sight.

As we arrived we went with the intention of raking the top of the mound that had produced some silver the previous week, but things quickly changed when far in the distance I spotted the reflection of more broken glass.

Car91rs went on his way to the usual spot as I continued to walk for about a quarter mile the opposite way. Well , my curiosity got the best of me and I'm glad it did because the first signal amongst the trash, glass and bricks was a 84 on my AT Gold. Out pops out roundness the size of silver dollar. My heart starts racing as I clean some of the dirt off, at first glance it appears to me to be a peace dollar, but closer inspection revealed a reverse swastika, a wizard and the all seeing eye on the other side.

I text'd car9rs a picture of the coin and within min he suddenly appeared next to me, you would've thought he teleported or something, lol. Car91rs immediately recognized the coin as a good luck token/coin. It's a 1930's India Hindu good luck token. The symbols (the all seeing eye, swastika, lock-and-key, four leaf clover, elephant, horseshoe, rabbits foot and wishbone) are prt of the Hindu religious symbolism.

Another signal I almost dismissed as a brass lipstick case turned out to be silver with the words Silver 990 Toyokoki. A little research revealed Toyokoki is to Japan silver what Buccellati is to Italy or Tiffany is to American. The company is known for beautiful and artistically crafted, but I still can't find out what it is. The bottom comes off and I was surprised to find a tiny spoon and picks. At first I thought it my be used for opium or maybe tobacco, any help ID'g would be appreciated.

After that it was find after find with some being recovered literally inches from where car91rs had dug a hole. I knew something was wrong cause it was too careless for him to miss these strong targets. Came to find out he was distracted from constant calls and text messages. Well, he missed out on a Texas button, U.S. Pin and a vintage WWII silver US Army Air Force Pilot wings. I guess that was a gift to me for that silver ring last week, lol.

Almost forgot found two lighters ones a Zippo 1936 model.

That is a (smoking) pipe tool. The flat faced tamper is the dead giveaway. The old timers used them when smoking a pipe... tobacco pipe that is... I have attached a pic of the modern cheapo equivalent. Yours is really killer!

Nice Zippo. With that Patent number and no other markings puts it 1937 - 1950 Should be worth some coin if its not toast.

Sorry I typoed the 1937 1936 would say Patent Pending

I would say yours is Post ww2 1946 - 1950 Because of the ridge or lip going around the bottom with ZIPPO in the recess. Pre WW2 the lighter would have a flat bottom with no recess. Still worth a couple hundred if its working.

FYI It is a cleaner kit
THe wire cleans the hole in the pipe. The spoon scrapes the bowl of the pipe and the flat round packs the leaf into the pipe!
