I have been seeing some deer tracks in my backyard so I set up a trail camera and put out some corn. While the deer pics are run of the mill I wish someone could explain the foxes actions.

My little dog rolls all over horse dung on the ground. I keep her away from it now.
 
He wasn't eating anything. Why is he pooping in the middle of the corn pile? The doe came back later and ate more corn as did a couple raccoons
 
I've seen Mr. Coyote do this to mark his territory....
 
Agree with TC - he is probably dropping a deuce to claim the corn.
 
He is spraying the minerals you have put down. Marking territory. You should still be able to smell its scent. They stink.
