We're looking for CHARACTERS. Whether you're a professional diver, a boat captain or a just novice with a metal detector we'd like to meet you Friday, June 11th at 4 pm at Capt. Hiram's Boat Bar. SEE YOU THEN! "

Should be interesting non-the-less...

Oh, you will get a response alright. :spam4: to your email box. It will read like they are contacting you about your "resume" that you allegedly "posted" on Craigslist. And they keep changing the names and use e addy's like "healthliving.com", and many others. They never stop. You can't get rid of them all !

It's not on Capt. Hirams calender for June. Professional companies usually screen through employment services. If anyone participates and this is kinda legit, make sure you take them to a treasure hunting spot where there isn't any real treasure.

I think it would be funny to "plant" a stuffed toy bunny" in the sand and "pull it out" ! Maybe one with energizer batteries holding his own metal detector

I know that they did contact Capt Hirams and they rented the Boat Bar for Friday night.... They just did this about 2 weeks ago so it will not be on Hirams calendar. The name of the rep that contacted me is "Teddy Grennan". He did not mention anything about "ShockCollar" but did run a few ideas by me some were ok some i didn't like! The only way to know whats up is to attend. If nothing else Capt Hirams is a great place to cut loose and have fun....

Not a half bad night actually. Guys from the production company were pretty legit. One of them was from the hit movie Super Troopers so they're actually well known in the business. Guys were very down to earth and nice. Had a good chat with both of them. Not sure if the idea will take off. They pitched it to spike TV, who liked the idea and told them to find some people do make it happen. Who knows what will come of it.

Greg,
Nice to meet you and the gang. Appreciate you taking the time to chat with me and pass on a little bit of knowledge. Always nice to meet someone who truly lives the treasure life and has such a passion for it. Couldn't stop staring at that huge hunk of gold around your neck though. I'll be sure to give you a holler about coming out on the boat.

Good night all around. Nice to meet everyone. Not sure what will come of the show but I think it could be interesting. Maybe give more of a mainstream boost to the hobby.

They were supposedly doing some filming today and The Conquistador may be in some of the shots! It would be nice to see her back in the water and how cool to see heron TV!

I received an email from Marc this morning. I guess we all did. I wonder if its the same. :icon_scratch: I say you guys go for it!! :icon_thumright:

Hi bigcypresshunter,

A major television production company has asked me to forward this to our members - this is a VERY serious casting call, and I wish you the best if you are interested. I would LOVE to see a TNet'r become a star!

_____________________________________________________________

Major TV Production Company is ISO Passionate and Proven Treasure Hunters

Do you make your living traversing the country in an RV scavenging for artifacts from centuries past? Are you a family of metal detectorists who heads out to the local Civil War battlefields on the weekends to find your loot? Or a colorful character who pores over antique maps to find long lost relics?

If so, we want to hear from you. We are a major TV production company looking for our next big TV talent. You should be passionate about what you do, knowledgeable in a wide range of artifacts and time periods, but ultimately an amateur doing what you do because it's what you love. Ideal candidates include families who travel around the country - or even deep into their own backyards - searching for hidden treasures, a dynamic duo who hits the road in search of precious metals or Revolutionary War remnants to pay the rent, a unique individual who goes to great lengths to find long lost relics - or any combination in between.

If you think you have what it takes to be our next TV star, send us a video of your treasure hunting team telling us why we should pick you. Quirky personalities welcome.
