Welcome Aboard! Take a look at Sub-Forums: New York for information (i.e., clubs, etc.) directly related to your state.

Welcome. You have a great area to hunt. Good luck.

Welcome to TNET!

Welcome to TNet Roger, you're swinging an extremely capable machine there, legendary as a silver digging beast. You learn that thing and you really won't find a more capable land machine. Yeah, you'll think about the Etrac, and you'll think about the CTX. But you're using their Daddy & Granddaddy there. There's plenty experience on TNet to help you get the serious habit, and give you tips & advice. There's at least 500 years of experience on the Explorer, or maybe more. If you get questions, just ask.

I returned to the hobby for the Etrac, never used an Explorer. But I do use the Excal which is BBS technology as you are. Etrac was FBS, and CTX refined it to FBS2. You want to really focus on the sounds, listen to what those sounds are saying, i.e. is it round :) Solid signals, dig them solid signals.

Good luck :)

Welcome from Massachusetts! Very nice relic find! :occasion14:

Thanks for the reply! I have a friend heavy into detecting and he recommended some machines. He has an Explorer 2 himself. I'm still getting use to it and love the features, especially the pinpoint. Just found this little guy last weekend:file.webpfile1.webpfile2.webp
