"$25,000 IN GOLD FOUND UNDER A SIDEWALK.
New Westminster, B.C., Nov. 3 - Workmen tearing up a wooden walk found $25,000 in gold and bank notes, part of the loot stolen from the local branch of the Bank of Montreal on September 15. The money was found only a short distance from the scene of the robbery. It was the first of the $335,000 that has been recovered and none of the robbers has been captured." (Article in full)

Boy finds package containing $5000 in bills in ravine than is believed to be part of the loot. Found under Carnarvon street bridge. Boy didn't connect the money with the robbery, but gave it to a friend, John Bozik, who gave the boy a $4 reward.
