Can anyone tell me anything about these. They are sort of soft (as compared to stone like hard). Someone told me they were called amber, and are formed from tree sap. They "glisten" in light and turn sort of like "moonstones"These were just strung on a brown string temporarily I assume. Are they of any value? Thanks for any help!!

Of course they are worth something but how much I don't know. Also, there were and still are some beads made of plastic that mimics amber that are mostly worthless but pretty. Amber is mostly noted for capturing small insects and plants from ancient times and anyone lucky enough to find one or more of those have a very good value. Monty
