Tree Sign?

Usually I just listen and learn on this forum, but I ran across a peculiar looking white Oak up in Missouri and I figured I would run it past y'all. It didn't look to be a natural occurance as one of the limbs were bent down to the same level as the other before turning away from the trunk. It resembles a man throwing up his hands in a, " How would I know?" gesture. At the elbows are small burls that give the appearance of elbows.
I didn't have a detector with me or else I would have gone around it to see if there was any iron or other markers present. Lightning and fires hav pretty well taken care of the other trees up on this ridge, so you can't really tell if there were any others. This area was well known for past outlaw activity. (Bolins, Quantrill, James, Baldknobbers, etc.)
This is the first time I've tried to post on this type of forum so I hope the drawing gets attached correctly. It is a side and top view. The trunk is 2 1/2 to 3 feet diameter. the angle of the limbs to each other is around 90 degrees even though my drawing doesn't show it.
Any suggestions?
Thanx
Rob

To arm are not to arm

cpt_peewee, that is interesting, doing this for so long, my first response is it is man made. but there is that one in a million chance thet the tree growed that way. you show the ends cut off, if they are than there is a slim chance that something is there. maybe a camp ground for hidding out. where the elbows are pointing down check under there, walk in the direction the arms are pointing and look for another odd tree or a rock with carvings on it, also look for unusual rocks piled up. the tree may be looking at something, go in both directions. i never pass up an unusual tree or rock formation. you never know. good luck, boomer

Cpt Pee Wee:
I have personal, very personal, Knowledge of a pirate cache being found at the top of Tampa Bay(Fla).
This cache was buried directly under a limb that was turned upward at a 90* angle!
AND! I do MEAN! Buried Directly under the limb, TOO!
I believe that the hole might still be there?
As the person(s) (two TH'ers) who dug it, uncovered the cache, were in much too big of a hurry to recover the hole!
Some where around here, my den/workshop/garage/storage, tool room, I have a photo of this !
If I can ever run across it, I will put it (the photo) in the forum!
BUT! My Point!
Check the area out with a GOOD! Detector !
One capable of deep & shallow reading(s) !
This cache was about three feet deep!
A small chest, about 2' L x 1'w X 1" h !
"Big Things Come in Small Packages (& small boxes, too!)" !
Don't ever overlook, or let someone/thing talk you out of it, something that looks unnatural in appearance !
You have NOTHING! to lose and MUCH! to GAIN!
