Tried it again at the site with mold and not much luck for the amount of time put in this hunt. Was able to come up with some buttons, jews harp, old musket shot( alot of this stuff),piece of thimble, and other things that I'll need to shock a little. But can't complain as I've been couped up here for four days cause of the storm so it was good too enjoy the sun today.
But this is it guy's you win some you loose some! :laughing9:

That furniture brass is 18th Century (probably, unless it's a Centennial piece) and in itself is a pretty nice find. Looks like you did well on the buttons, and congrats on the trump. :icon_thumright:

That site just keeps producing. How large is the area you are searching? I'd keep at it if I were you. Great hunt!!!!

It seemed extra large today. :laughing9: As I have sweated bullets all day man it's got purdy warm again here.

It's hard to say for sure, but damn that's close to a Lieut. Rev War Navy!

The designed one. The pattern is a Tudor Rose (Rev War British Navy Lieutenant), and there are several different types. Here is one. There's just a little too much corrosion for me to say 100%. (but it's very close)

Put it this way... if it's a Tudor rose it's a keeper!

I think though I'm going to lay off of it as not sure but I think the guilt that's left not to good. And is coming off I'll let her be at this I just don't see it shining no more cause theres nothing there. But glad to know this method for next time on these type.

Yeah, unfortunately I didn't think there was much left under the crud. Tomorrow I'll take some pics from the book and see how close a match we can make. Sometimes it can be a big surprise so usually worth the shot.

That's all you can do. Poor condition has cost me many good relics over the years. But it's still one crossed off the list.

I think that site still has a lot of potential!

Lets keep our fingers crossed that you have a rev war button there. In the mean time congratulations on all the relics and especially the jews harp. I love such a personal find.I can picture the dude twanging away to some tavern song while all his comrads smile a toothless smile.

Thanks 1600's Silver King :D. I agree as the tide yesterday kept me from getting to do what I had planed. But this place has at least two other places on it that needs to be done as well at least as I've done this one.I just mainly keep going to the site of the spoon mold and pounding it for every signal I feel is good.As it is were the 10th reg button came from to.Weird they are mixed like that. But the other 2 sites here I went over quick and some of those buckles and the British Half came from those.I really feel though it needs about 5inches of dirt shaved off the top to get deeper and find more.As I've seen enough now here to know things are quiet for sure deeper than adverage depth of the normal detector.
TK, :hello:

Here it is under natural light, and also I keep finding these chunks of I guess pewter in cone shapes any thought's on them maybe from spill overs from molds? :dontknow:
