I had the opportunity to try out my new "California Mini Backpack Sluice" this weekend on the North Saskatchewan river. It was a dream come true for me. Finally, a river sluice that can operate in the NSR with only moderate flow, unlike my other river sluices which worked poorly, if at all. Those drop riffles catch the black sands and of course the gold with ease. It works like a natural river bed, where the heavy gold drops into crevices and stays there. I ran 2 x 1/2 5 gallon pails, screened down to 20 mesh. I did 2 cleanups. Check out my short video!

What would the flour gold in the pan weigh up to?

That amount is perhaps about 1/4 gram. But hey, it's free and got me a good nights sleep.
