Pistol i believe too, probably not really old , i can see the casting seam in the last pic running the length of the trigger guard, dont know what time period they started making cast parts though.

A lot of the early/mid 1800 pistols used that same guard.

Could not find an exact match on that trigger guard. Most with that finger tang were found looking at European dueling pistols. Good luck.

Very nice find ATW, looks to have some age to it.
Unfortunately, up here in Canada we're not permitted to carry firearms, so anything found related to an old gun is very cool to me. :laughing7:
