🔎 UNIDENTIFIED Drawer pull or triggerguard part?

Hey y’all, found this little object after a heavy rain in area where I have found a gunflint and other artifacts. Looked vaguely reminiscent of a trigger guard, but could be wrong. Likely am. Any help would be appreciated!

Looks pretty small to be a trigger guard. Not much room for a trigger and a finger behind it.

Thank ya all for the responses. In hindsight, it seems apparent that it is not a trigger guard, but rather some type of clamp.
